Camp Lillian: Cabin Overlooking Gore Mountain

Camp Lillian a sweet “new old” cabin is modest in scale, simply furnished so to not detract from the richness of the views --- it offers a fresh, invigorating sense of “just what is needed, nothing more.” The cabin is located on a 40 acre family compound where we have four glamping tents and five cabins with plenty of privacy between each.

There is a queen bed with duvet covers and beautiful south facing views of the mountains. Vintage oriental rugs, beautiful drapes and antique lamps. There is a cozy bay window where one could read, or sleep.

The bay window has a single mattress and covers, and overlooks a wildflower meadow with a canopy of trees behind the cabin. The bathroom has a nice shower and vanity. There is plenty of hot water, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with a stove, an undercounter fridge, toaster, coffee making things and of course a sink. There are good pans to cook with, plates, glasses and silverware.

There is a fire pit with chairs. Stargazing at night is amazing as there is no light pollution.

Summers are wonderful with cool mountain breezes, nearby lakes and the Hudson River to swim, bathe or fish in. Fall is glorious with all the trees turning color.

Enjoy a hot tub experience! Built within a beautiful Japanese temple-like structure on one of the most beautiful spots of our land (a very short walk from this cabin), our all natural no-chemical hot tub is a delightful way to start your morning, relax after hiking or winding down after dinner. Available for a private experience for $25 for an hour of wonderful relaxation. Let us know if you would like to book!

As for things to do in the area, nearby Garnet Hill Lodge has cross country ski trails and rentals. Gore Mountain is also close, and if you can't get tickets, consider smaller ski places within an hour's drive like West Mountain, Williard Mountain or Oak Mountain.

Revolution Rail in nearby North Creek offers wonderful rail biking.

Enjoy gorgeous scenery and take a day trip to nearby Lake George, Blue Mountain Lake and Lake Placid.

The property is an easy scenic drive up 87 from NYC. If you arrive late, the house will be unlocked and lights on for you.

RECENT REVIEWS

"Leslie's property was sublime. The spa was unbelievably relaxing and didn't seem to have chlorine (I hate how chlorine feels on my skin). The cabin had a beautiful daybed in the window and was comfy for two. The fire pit outside had a beautiful, expansive view which was great for watching the sunset. I highly recommend this property to the airbnb community!"

"Leslie's place was absolutely magical. The location, the setting, the cabin, the Japanese style hot tub. It was all just perfect. The space was cozy, clean and was just an easy space to spend some time in. Thanks again Leslie, I hope to come back!"

"We stayed for one night at Leslie's cabin, and it was a great experience! The location is beautiful: watching the sun set and moon rise over the Adirondacks was alone worth the price of admission. The cabin itself was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and comfortable through-and-through. On the night of our arrival, we enjoyed freshly-baked pizza from Leslie's on-premises stone oven: it was thoroughly delicious and a great bargain! Last but not least, Leslie herself has been a fantastic host, providing excellent directions to get to her place, quickly answering any and all queries, and just generally being gracious, warm and welcoming. We were sad to go!"

"Coming from NYC we needed a nice little getaway for a couple days and camp Lillian absolutely delivered. The property was very clean and peaceful and watching firefly’s dancing on the grass was absolutely beautiful. The Japanese hot tub was so relaxing we booked it nearly every day. If you want a nice affordable getaway this is the place."
